What Does Dyslexia look like?
If you notice some of these characteristics, your child may being showing signs of Dyslexia.
Difficulty with Oral Language

Could be late in learning to talk

May have difficulty pronouncing words

Might have difficulty assimilation new vocabulary

May not follow directions well

Could experience confusion with directional words ie. "right, left, before, after"

Might struggles to learn the alphabet, nursery rhymes, or songs

Could struggle to understand concepts and relationships
Difficulty with Reading

May have a difficult time learning to read in a classroom setting

May have challenges recognizing and being able to produce rhyming words or counting syllables in words (Phonological Awareness)
