I am passionate about teaching children to read and write. As an Orton-Gillingham Language Trained educator, I teach the Science of Reading. The Science of Reading is a research based, systematic, structured literacy approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. I use diagnostics to create an individual learning plan to help your child read on, or above grade level with fluency and ease, as quickly as possible. My students often have measurable results within 8 to 12 hours of instruction.  It is my joy and honor to watch a child’s confidence and self-esteem grow as they begin to experience success with one-on-one reading and writing tutoring online.

I have a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and have taught Kindergarten and 1st grade as well as English as a Second Language. I’ve had the unique experience of teaching English, to Chinese students online.  I’ve also taught adults getting their Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with the University of Phoenix Online. ​

The Orton-Gillingham approach is a multi-sensory, direct, and explicit approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. I am very interactive with my virtual students in order to use as many of their senses as possible. I strive to make their online tutoring session fun and motivating!
